The hotel is 2 minutes' walk from the rail station, so it's really convenient if you've just taken the short train ride from the airport. It's pretty basic, but was fine for us for 2 one-night stays, at the beginning and end of a week's holiday in the mountains. Only downside was that, being near the station, the area is a bit seedy at night, and there was a lot of noise from the street still going on at 5am - and we were on the 5th floor! But as I say, fine for a stopover - and about a 15 minute walk to the Old Town just over the bridge.
Top Tip:
If you walk to the old town, you arrive first at some very swanky streets with HQs of banks, and extremely expensive shops selling watches and jewellery. It's a bit hard to find places to eat, but if you keep walking more or less straight on, and up the hill a bit, you start finding more restaurants. All really expensive, though.
The hotel hands out free Geneva travel passes, and we caught a tram to the United Nations area - took about 10 minutes.
